CREFTDA has vast experiences in working with the Government, NGOs, PRIs along with the community since its inception in the year 1991. At present we have extended our programme (health & development) to 03 Blocks of Mayurbhanj District. We have experienced in conducting need-based training, organizing/mobilizing community, developing IEC materials/activities in local languages, and facilitation of development projects, livelihoods and food security interventions, facilitating the Govt. programme, Environment management and forest protection activities, promoting self help movement, Protection of rights, etc.
Now we are implementing the GSS activities at various levels in its assigned blocks i.e. Jashipur, Raruan & Sukruli of Mayurbhanj district in coordination with the District Implementing Partner, block administration, health administration and CDMO-cum-District Mission Director, Mayurbhanj District. The Objectives of the programmes are:
- Strengthen the Capacity of Gaon Kalyan Samitis to promote community participation and ownership in addressing issues related to health and other social determinants of health.
- Promote community level dialogue on health related issues with the focus on maternal and child health.
- Strengthen Inter-sectoral coordination and convergence at various levels for the effective and efficient delivery of services and maximize service utilization.
- Enhance the responsiveness and accountability of the health system to meet the demand and supply of health service delivery.
- Bring together the efforts of community and service delivery system to promote good health.
