Upgrading the skills of Anganwadi Workers, ANMs, L. S. and LHVs on early detection of child hood illness and their treatment at household level and referral service to the high risk patients as a Pilot program launched in Mayurbhanj district by UNICEF & Govt. of Orissa.

 

In this program we were given the responsibility of organizing the Training program at the Sub-divisional level. We conducted Basic training of IMNCI to 421, Refresher training (107) and Follow up Supervision training of to (95) supervisors under the training programme. The Training programs were supported by NRHM, Odisha & UNICEF- Odisha.

 

Skills of AWWs, HW (F)s, Health and ICDS Supervisors were upgraded. Ailing Infant & Child got Quality services immediately as a result IMR & CMR of the district were reduced year after year.
