Sustainable livelihood in disaster affected areas is a major challenge. In the low line areas of Mayurbhanj District people are affected by floods. With financial support from CARE India we are in a process of promoting livelihoods in 24 Villages of Badasahi Block of Mayurbhanj District. People are provided need based training, technology, agricultural inputs including seeds, etc. Small Livestock like Goat, Poultry, etc. are also taken alternative to agriculture. Self Help groups are being promoted and supported to run group based micro enterprises. The activities are also being promoted on enterprise basis at individual household level beneficiaries wherever necessary
