About Us

Who We Are

CREFTDA is a community-driven non-governmental organization working at the grassroots in rural Odisha since 1991. We are dedicated to empowering tribal, marginalized, and underserved communities through sustainable, inclusive development. Our identity is rooted in deep local engagement, cultural sensitivity, and a long-term commitment to social and environmental justice. We function as facilitators, enablers, and partners—bridging the gap between rural realities and development opportunities.

Over the decades, we’ve grown into a trusted and credible voice in the region—supporting communities to secure their rights, strengthen their capacities, and build resilient futures. We are non-political, non-profit, and people-focused—with a vision of a fair, equitable society for all.

Our Vision

A society free from socio-economic and cultural exploitation and environmental degradation—founded on human values, justice, equity, and fraternity.

Our Mission

To empower poor, tribal, and marginalized communities—especially women—by promoting people's participation in all aspects of development and ensuring justice, dignity, and sustainability in every initiative.
